Founded by John Randall and headquartered in the heart of the historic Brooklyn Navy Yard for over 15 years, Bien Hecho is a full service woodworking shop. We craft custom furniture and interiors for commercial, residential, and private clients. From drawing and design consultation to fabrication and installation, we own each step of the process. Quality leads every Bien Hecho project.

Bien Hecho translates directly from Spanish as “well made” but is more commonly used as the phrase “well done”

John Randall, a Rochester, NY native, studied Biology in college and after receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in the field started down the path of an advanced degree in Neuroscience and Biophysics. After a few life turns he wound up in a proper wood shop where he learned the practice and never looked back. He currently lives in Brooklyn.

Sources

We specialize in sourcing speciality, historic and reclaimed lumber. We maintain a strong relationship with our dozens of suppliers and when possible source lumber directly from sawyers who engage in selective logging.
